Computer Wiped, New Start

Hey guys, its been awhile since I last updated this journal but I have some bad news, and somewhat good. First the bad, okay so apparently my computers power went *poof*. I wondered what happened, since it went down I got a red light. I turned it on after about 10 minutes and then it happened again. So I decided to turn off the computer for the night. The next day I tried to turn on the computer and it didn't turn on. I was like...WTF?!? I tried to check the power and continuously pressed the button. I called my mom to take the computer in to get it fixed.

Apparently it was to a point where it was beyond repair because of the motherboards damage it took from many power outages and abuse from electrical storms. It was also the power supply, it died so in truth, I had to basically get a new MB and a power supply. It was 200 dollars with a nice looking upgrade so everythings working. Only problem is, all my programs were wiped. Though my works survived haha, but I have to re-install my tablet =.= so when I work I'll install it again.

Another problem is, my sites new's can't be updated anymore because I forgot my dang password. Chang's the only one that knows it so I can't update my site until he comes back! Damn Dx.

That's about it, as for the good news. I have new upgrades, like 3GB of Ram and the motherboard is freaking huge

Jayyyyy you should look into getting an uninterrupted power supply for your computer! I have one and it has so saved my hiney on a number of occasions. I think they're about $60...but it essentially provides backup power to the computer. I mean, at least enough so that if the power is going on and off it won't fry it. I got one after I lost an online exam worth 25%. My landlord decided it was cool to play with the fusebox and not warn anyone.

I'm not sure it would help (or maybe you already have one...) but I thought I'd mention it because your computer dying or losing something you're working on SUCKS. Especially when your computer is your lifebloooooood.
